history;;Born in the sleepy settlement of Brightwall on a blustery spring day, Briar was named after the tiny briar rose buds that flew in threw the window and landed in the girl's mop of blonde hair. She was a quiet child but curious child and was always scrambling out of the house even as a toddler to get into the garden where she could explore. She grew into a curious child who would spend half her time hiding up in the oak tree in their garden nestled amongst the branches with her nose in a book, and the other half of the time exploring and having adventures around Brightwall, falling out of hundreds of trees in the process.

Her childhood was happy, but uneventful. Her family was loving and though they weren't the richest, they happily made-do with what they had. Briar quickly learned various handicrafts like knitting, sewing, embroidery, and cross-stitch which she thoroughly enjoyed, decorating most of the family's wardrobe with stitched decals of their namesakes. She enjoyed pottering around the garden with her grandpa, and quickly grew a green thumb. To this day she still enjoys going out and helping the gardeners with their work when all her duties are done.

As she grew older, Briar developed a strong wanderlust, craving to leave the walls of Brightwall and explore the rest of Albion. She became friends with Ben Finn when he got a job at the Brightwall Academy, and the two would spend long evenings under the stars making grand plans to explore the rest of Albion. Once he'd gathered enough money, Ben left Brightwall, with Briar tagging along with him. They traveled all around the land, ending up in Bowerstone where the pair ended up serving drinks at a tavern. On a visit to the palace, she met Stella, and the two became close friends. Briar would end up spending all of her free time

She and Ben had a falling out and eventually Ben left to continue his adventures on his own. She continued the friendship with the princess, and after losing her job she managed to get a job at the castle. Since she basically already knew the castle and all the duties that needed to be done like the back of her hand, Stella managed to get her into the position of Logan's butler, since he had recently fired Jasper.
