personality;; Josie is a typical happy-go-lucky kind of child. She loves to sing, dance and just play around in the streets of Bowerstone. She is playful, loving to play tricks on other, loving to laugh and have fun. And she absolutely likes to shoot tiny stones at people with her slingshot. But that only on good days. Usually she uses the slingshot to defend herself against other kids trying to steal stuff she got for herself, or against bigger people like beggars who try to steal from her.
But mostly the child can be found running around town, talking to people, or just enjoying herself. Sometimes she'd climb the walls or onto the roofs, just to see without being seen immediately.
She is a rather funny, easy-going kid with a good sense of humour, but also quite smart. She does play dumb sometimes, though. Especially with people she doesn't like.

Josie doesn't particularly like the orphanage she is living in, but it is far better than having to live on the streets with no roof over her head at night. And at least they take care of her basic needs, everything else she has to find on her own. Sometimes the young girl is a little sad that nobody came to adopt her over the years she's been here, but she knows how to hide it.

The only thing that Josie really is afraid of is darkness.

Josie's origin is unknown to the orphanage. Nobody knows where she was born, or the names of her parents. All that is known is her date of birth and her first name.
It was said that Josie's parents were travellers coming to Bowerstone from another region of Albion, but nobody knew their names, or where they actually came from. All that the old townfolk knows is that Josie was just a couple of days old when she found in a burned down house in Bowerstone, five years ago.

The house that Josie would be found in, had been abandoned for years, so nobody cared that it was now occupied by strangers for the time being. Especially since the woman was pregnant. The family didn't seem to have much money by the looks of how they lived, but it obviously was enough to get by.
One night the house went up in flames and a beggar said he saw a figure fleeing the scene. The baby's parents were killed in that horrible fire, as almost all of the house was burned down. Miraculously the life of the baby was spared. The tiny girl was found in a basket in a chamber that was added to the house as a bedroom. She was wrapped in a nice blanket with the name Josephine Leanne embroidered onto it. That was the only sign that the baby's parents may have come from a more wealthy family than originally believed.

So, pretty much all of Josie's life was spent at the orphanage, never knowing who her parents were of if the baby had other family somewhere. Surprisingly nobody wanted to take the baby in either, so the orphanage staff had to raise her.

Currently Josie still lives at the Orphanage, although the young child spends most her time away from the building, roaming the streets of Bowerstone, sometimes hanging out with a homeless boy named Robin.
