Asleep In A Field Of Daisies // Castiel

Daisy loved Spring. When the bitter Winter was over, the snow had melted and the trees were just beginning to blossom, that was when she loved London the most. Summer was beautiful too, but in a way completely unlike Spring. The trees that bloomed in Spring were so much more beautiful than their Summer counterparts - delicate cherry blossoms, giant magnolia blooms, dainty lilacs. For Daisy there was nothing more beautiful.

It had been Winter when Daisy had been dragged out of London and brought here to Albion. Winter was nice enough, what with the snowflakes and getting to create snow angels when she was alone in the park with no one to see her, but Winter was such a lonely season. Better than Autumn, because at least she got her children visiting and having snowball fights at the park. Autumn, with its gale-force wind and never-ending rain made the days drag on and made the months feel like an eternity. And the children couldn't visit her, leaving her miserable and lonely. She was going to miss those rascals dearly. She only hoped that they wouldn't be too devastated about her sudden disappearance.

Humming a low tune to herself, Daisy dragged the brimming watercan over to the garden. Hefting it up, she watched the streams of water bathe the plants, the sunlight catching off the drops and making them sparkle like jewels in the light. For a long moment she stood there, empty watering can in hand, mesmerized by the beauty of the small garden. She watched a ladybug crawling up the stem of a tulip, a smile crinkling up the corners of her mouth. She loved this world. She'd loved that world too, but this one was so different, with so many new things to explore. It was more beautiful than London, too. Here nature reigned supreme, whereas in London it had a concrete jungle. There were of course a few spots of paradise scattered around the city, but industry ruled in a way it didn't here.

Putting the watering can away, she brushed her dress down and picking up her basket just in case she spotted some berries or mushrooms, began skipping to the meadow. It wasn't so much a meadow as just an overgrown field not far from the cottage, but Daisy loved it. The grass reached up to her knees, and wildflowers of every colour grew rampant. But mostly there were more daisies here than one could count. The girl had promised the Demon Door a daisy wreath, but that could wait for now. Falling down in the long grass, a giggle escaped her lips and she closed her eyes, letting the sun warm her pale face. Life was good.

NOTES She's so adorable <3 So excited! :3

Cas wasn't particularly fan of weather changes. Mostly he just lived through whatever happened outside whatever door he went through.
Sometimes being an angel got boring because obviously humans had lots of fun when the white fell down the sky and covered the ground. Well... mostly the little ones, big fellows just cursed and banged their car doors and tried in vain to get either rid of the white covering their vehicles or make those things roll the roads.

And Cas only observed...

But now, all of a sudden, he found himself surrounded by something somewhere warm and not at all covered by the white mass.
That or he was just imagining everything because Angels actually couldn't feel anything and where near invincible.

But suddenly he felt... the most excruciating pain a God's creature could ever imagine.
And he felt as if his insides were somehow turned to outside.

It was soo weird Cas didn't even try to decipher why on earth he was lying in the middle of a beautiful garden in his custom 'uniform' of a beige trench coat and rumpled suit being torn and smudged with dirt...

He had no way of knowing that there was a large gash covering the left side of his temple - cheek area... That there were bleeding scratches on his neck and that he'd smeared half of his face with blood freely escaping the open wound in his right palm.. Or that actually when you fall face - first into ground it leaves many bruises and possibly injured ligaments in your limbs that happens to be just a tad clumsy at meeting ground in such way...

Cas didn't remember whether his vessel ever had been injured that bad. He guessed humans don't usually tumble out of the sky like early snowflakes.

But Angels obviously did.. At times...

Birds were singing happily in the forest, their melodic tunes a lullaby for Daisy. The crumpled grass was soft underneath her, much softer than the mattress back in the cottage and the sleepy thought of how wonderful it would be to have a mattress stuffed full of grass, along with some wildflowers for their fragrance, crossed her mind. One of her children back in London had once read her a book where a young girl living in the mountains slept on a bed of hay and put wildflowers in there to make her bed smell nice. It was a lovely book, and suddenly Daisy wished that she had it with her to reread again. Her thoughts full of flower beds and snow-covered mountains, the woman began to drift off.

Suddenly something came crashing down near her and Daisy bolted up. Rubbing her eyes, she peered over at the unmoving shape. Slowly, cautiously, she crept over, dark eyes studying whatever it was that had tumbled like a shot bird out of the sky. A soft gasp left her lips. It was a human! But how? And from where?! There was nothing but open fields for miles around. There wasn't even a tree for him to fall from. He'd just come out of nowhere, like the first snowflake of Winter.

He still wasn't moving, and Daisy scuttled over, reaching out and gently touching his arm. "Hello?" He was bleeding from his face and her expression creased into a frown. Withdrawing a handkerchief from the front of her dress, she wiped the blood from his skin, before carefully pressing it to the bleeding area, hoping that she wasn't hurting him any more than could be helped. A fall like that couldn't have been painless, and Daisy didn't want to add any more pain. "Please wake up human snowflake," she murmured, watching him carefully. "Please don't die..."

NOTES Poor Cas! *smishes*

It still had felt weird though.. As if he'd been pushed and by complete accident tripped into something invisible, barely even shimmering, and possibly soft before something else happened- almost as if his soul had been ripped out and then put back like a new part put back into a car.

And he never had even a second left to figure all that out because he was suddenly crashing through the foreign sky and meeting face-to-face a foreign land...

Something vague, like a soft breeze of a summer wind, touched his face and something else smelled nice.
The Angel of God was just hoping it wasn't him being sent to hell or turned back human again. On the other hand, Purgatory couldn't smell this nice at all, and he doubted being human would actually make him feel anything at all after such a fall.

But then there was a voice so cute like a bunch of tiny bells...
And something that felt like a touch of feather so gentle even the following sting in his face or somewhere else couldn't erase or even change the feeling.
It made Castiel smile, even if only in his own head....

The human wasn't moving or replying, and Daisy's face crumpled into a worried frown again. Sitting back on her haunches for a moment, she looked over at the male, thinking. They were very much alone here in Greatwood, with any form of help being in the next town over. It was too long a walk to start upon, and besides that, she really didn't want to leave this human all on his own. She didn't want to run the risk of anything happening to him while she was gone. Like him dying. Swallowing the lump in her throat that had suddenly formed at the horrid thought, she shook her head. No, she told herself, he's not going to to die. He's going to be fine. Perfectly fine.

Brushing her hair from her eyes and tucking it behind her ears, the brunette moved closer to the man, placing her ear over where his heart was. For a long minute she listened carefully for a heartbeat, not even daring to breath in case she missed it. Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, she felt the gentle flutter of his heart, weak and slow. Sitting back, she let out a relieved sigh and smiled weakly at the male. He was alright, at least for now. "C'mon, wake up," she softly urged again. Reaching out she gently shook his arm. "Come on, please wake up..."

NOTES And the award for "most adorable post" goes to Cas's reply right there x3

He couldn't feel time passing on... And there was no way to tell time if he was deep in his own flabbering mind full of useless clutter that possibly consisted of rotten hamburgers and pizza leftovers he didn't have the need to get rid of.

Cas tried, only tried to make an attempt of a movement and doubted it even reached the surface of his consciousness.
However something felt different...
Like that same tiny bells or feather soft, warm touch...

If only he could actually just wake up and be there- back in reality...

And then, all of a sudden, Castiel sneezed.....

☆Notes: woohoo! I finally made it to reply, but pardon it came out so short, I'm slightly out of practice *hangs head in shame*

There was no reply from the man, no stirring, and only the sound to be heard was the happy chirp of various birds who were oblivious to what was going on beneath them. Daisy gave the man one last gentle shake, before a sad sigh left her lips. She watched him for a long moment, hoping and praying that at any second now he would get up, or at least make some sort of sound to show that he was alive.

But the minutes ticked on and there wasn't a single sign. Not a feeble movement of the arms, not a weak sigh, nothing. Daisy was about to go and ask Oscar what to do since she'd never had to deal with someone who'd died, especially one who had died right in front of her eyes, when suddenly the man sneezed. In surprise, Daisy sat back on her haunches and stared at him for a long moment, her mouth dropping open into a perfect open o. He's alive! The brunette gave a relieved laugh, running a hand through her tresses. "Bless you," she replied shakily, sinking from her haunches down onto the ground. He's ok. He's not dead. He's ok.

It felt so weird and at tge same time refreshening.
And maybe a tiny bit embarrassing..

But for the most part it was PAINFUL, and no wonder- there was probably already a hole in his skull and, if by any chance you'd wanted to start assesing something only by sheer feeling of pain, his whole skeleton seemed to have fallen apart.

But to make the whole thing even more confusing there still was that sound of wind chimes and golden glitter filled voice of what possibly was another angel.
And he may be nuts but also there were joyful chirps of quite ordinary sounding birds he'd heard before...

With that crazy alignment still confusing him Castiel opened his eyes to bright sunshine and face of a porcelain doll....

Running a shaky hand through her hair, Daisy watched him for a long moment. Despite the sneeze, he wasn't moving, and had it not been for the fact that the woman could clearly see his chest moving up and down as he breathed, she would have thought that he'd passed away in that brief moment. But he was clearly breathing and dead people didn't breathe. Unless they were a zombie, but that was neither here nor there and Daisy pushed that thought from her mind.

Leaning right over him, she prodded him gently in an attempt to get him to make some sort of movement or noise. She wasn't exactly sure why it was so important for her to get that out of him, but she couldn't just leave him alone. The brunette was just one the verge of opening his eyelids and checking his eyes like she'd seen the children at her park do when they were playing dead with one another, when suddenly his eyes opened on his own accord. Daisy blinked in surprise, before a smile broke out. "Hi...!" she uttered softly, the smile not leaving her lips.

NOTES Please say something because she's done all she can in regards to thoughts and acts without him speaking xD

About two seconds passed, with a feeling of time halted by the beauty right in front of his hazy crystalline eyes, and he blurted out his first words in a cracked weak voice: "H..hello a..a..angel.."

Of course, the Angel thought he saw something out of his delusions, however it was nice.

But still, he felt like a feather.. a bucketful of ticklish feathers actually...
And it felt good. Really good.

But Castiel was afraid. Afraid that it'll all disappear into nothingness..
